If it was captured by our state certified bander (of various other birds) to rule out it being an Allen's, then it can be said as 100% Rufous. It will be added to the Nebraska Ornithologist's Union records for the state as a Selasphorus, a "likely" Rufous. How exciting!!!
Anyway, it was here from about 11am on the 28th-30th (today at 7am...it's last feeding). We also had a mature male Rt pass through here on the 24th already too.
Sorry for being away so long...just been sooooooooooooo busy. I have so many pics of birds and butterflies to look through. I just put in folders on the pute desktop daily. Well, it will keep me busy catching up later this fall/winter when i get bored :)
