That is not bad news, just gives me more area for my new Irises. Bad news is the area they need to be moved to needs to be dug and then amended. I had the gardeners thin out the African Sumac branches away from the patio to stop the constant mess and when I did that I allowed our 110 degree sun to shine directly on the plants. I did not even think about that at the time. Live and learn. It is unfortunate that they are blooming the same time as our heat wave.
