What were your first thoughts when you saw her? What inspired you to adopt her?

I ask this because my absolute best buddy came to me because he was a full grown cat and the neighbors moved a couple miles away and he would not stay at the new place. He kept coming back. One day I was working in the garden and he was in the trees meowing. I started talking to him about what a bummer it was that his family moved away and he didn't like it. Soon he was coaxed up on the deck so we could feed him, then into the house when it stormed, and now13 years later, he sleeps on his own pillow between DH and I, and sits on a matching pillow at my feet when I'm in the office. We call him Bummy, after what I said to him about it being a Bummer that his family moved away and he didn't want to go. It fits him perfectly and I can't imagine his name being anything different.

This isn't a great picture because I just leaned down and snapped it, interrupting his evening bath, and not giving him time to prepare to be published.
