in the wild thye will grow out by themselves.. on the edge of a drop off or cliff... and right along the ocean... roots growing over and into the rock .. surely drinking a good percentage of salt water on an ongoing basis.. all to avod the close contact of another plant.. and to gather as much of the full sun as is possible.. and reflective sun as well...
no plumie blooms... but my cactus bloomed the other day.. and I had 4 blooms open last night on my night blooming cereus.. cactus photo
