They are a heavy plastic, except for the changeable razor blade itself, so there is very little that will rust on them. As you can see, extra blades fit in the handle. They were under $14 at wallmart, and should last a long time, even with bleaching regularly, and would be safer than the regular razor knife. But no, I don't own any stock in the company ;)
