Yeah! It's flower time at last! I love the multiple shades of green, but was really ready for some color!

Willow, your flowers are beautiful. I love the beginning of the kalmia... can't wait to see it full open. Your NOID shrub rose is beautiful too... that is my favorite rose form.

Bonehead, I have not had a lot of success with any of the monkshood varieties, but Mom has a few and they really need to be staked in our area. All of hers are in shade, and are quite happy there with a little support.

Pony, your yellow and orange NOID daylily is Frans Halls. Pretty... mine aren't even close to blooming yet. You have a lot of color going on in your yard right now.

Gwen, I really like the sage/geranium combo. I am excited about the sage that you shared, and I have a surplus of blue geraniums so I may just have to be a copy-cat!

Bea, your pink pretties are wonderful! I love love love that clem. Is it the one that you posted a single of about a month ago? It is very similar to Asao that I just bought. You should be happy that your painted daisies come back at all... I just can't grow them (yeah, broken record...slugs....slugs...slugs), and if I get one to actually bloom it is always one of the ugly colors. Your pink is wonderful!

Jan, I haven't had a lot of luck direct seeding poppies, and I am wondering if I am doing it at the wrong time. Mother nature does it right after they bloom (mid summer), so I might try that this year and see if it makes a difference.

I haven't had a chance to walk my yard for a couple of weeks, so am looking forward to that opportunity this weekend. Trust me, I will have camera in hand. I have enjoyed the foxglove and rose show out of my laundry room window though... The roses don't stand close inspection, but from a distance they are very colorful....
