Poor folks to the south and east of the city,, state of emergency in many towns and cities. because of flash floods. I actually bought a couple of plants yesterday. Ive been on the hunt for a couple of things I bought in May, want more of same, but cant find them now - then I came across a phlox named Orange Perfection and snatched a couple of them Had one a few years ago which did not survive and it is hard to find.I am using tall phlox as one of the main plants in the front flower beds I am revamping. Last week I had a call from Lougheed House asking me to be present at the AGM last evening for a special presentation. So I got dressed up in some nice duds and attended! I received the Volunteer Award of the Year! Did not know they did it! The award is named after and was presented by a lady named Trudy Cowan without whose work on a Historical Committee the house restorations would probably not have happened. And the award included a $100 gift card from my favorite local greenhouse! Wow I can go buy more plants!!!!!!!!!! Image is from Veseys Catalogue |
