Met, I used to go 200-300 yards behind the bridge but because the road is washed out they don't allow entry into the area. It's rather swampy back there and is a haven for all sorts of wildlife.

I was back patrolling my favorite area last weekend. Not too much activity but I did get a rare photo (at Patuxent) of a Pileated Woodpecker. I constantly hear and see them flying back and forth across the road but never caught them sitting in the wooded area. Even then, it is a good distance from the road.
