A SS lawyer should not cost you anything out of pocket. They usually take cases on a contengency basis, which means they get paid if they win the case. That is what I did, but had to have 2 denials letters from SS first. Then the lawyers took 2 years, but I finally got approved. Then the State says they can only take a percentage of what I got, and no more than $3000.00. I never paid anything out of my pocket.
This is our new Acadia! We fnally got all the paper work done, and insurance about 3:30 this afternoon!
One thing I learned, is that you can go to the place where you get your license plates, and get a form for your Dr to fill out, that makes handicap persons exempt from paying sales taxes on a new vehicle. It can only be on your primary car. That saved us $1800.00 today!
