Gitagal wrote: These are the older (pink) Begonia Grandis. I recently went to a Fu-Fu Garden Center and bought a gallon pot of these. Had a gift card--thanks to my Daughter...Never paid attention to the color.... The pot was $10. And it had SO many new plantlets in it that it was filled to the rim! I took it out of the pot and pulled all the little divisions off--enough to fill 9- 4" pots as "starts". Will take those to work to share... The original plant was large--but i was able to, easily pull that apart to make 4 separate plants. They really have very little root systems to them. Just FYI---The little "bulblet" that they grow from is no bigger than a pea! Amazing! Planted these white ones amid my Pink ones--and in a couple of other places.....They are doing well! My biggest "find" at this garden center was large containers of Bonide Systemic Granules..... I thought they no longer made this! HD stopped carrying this about 4-5 years ago. Bought a 4lb. container for $20.99. Good deal!!!!! i am happy! G. |
