Debra, is it just one leaf on your african mask plant with yellowing? If so then perhaps it is just an older leaf about to die off. I do know that this particular Alocasia is quite picky when it comes to watering. It is definitely one that has to have very quick draining soil and absolutely will not tolerate soggy/wet soil for an extended period of time. Mine does best by allowing the soil to dry out quite a bit before I water it again. I hope this helps.
