GC and Ww ~ I have lived in CA for all but a few months in El Paso, where I was born. Came here on the train...gosh does anyone ever travel by train anymore? I moved "up north" in the fall of 1987 and have been here ever since. It is nice to be out of the city! I have a hs reunion in the fall, so we may go there in SoCA then, in October. I don't care too much about the desert, but my folks loved it. They took me camping once and we slept in sleeping bags under the stars...and that was a WOW for me. I never saw so many stars...and constant "shooting stars"...and the desert is quite beautiful in spring when the wildflowers are in bloom.

Still, I love living in the mountains. I lived in Topanga before I moved here...that was nice, too.
