It bloomed late winter early spring with dark pink flowers about 1-2". The stems/branches grow upright. The leaves are staggered and the flowers bloom above each leaf. The new growth (leafs) are a kind of dark burgandy.The smell of the flowers are wonderful. I think the pot the plant came in was named incorrectly. Was told it could be a camellia? Definitely an evergreen. Thank you! I do have a picture with a single branch close up if needed.
