We have them here in Florida and I used to see quite a few years ago when my M-I-L was still living. Her house was in a country setting with huge orange groves across the road from her. There were Eagles nesting in tall pines in the area. We also saw them when we'd be out in our boat in the river just west of us. It sure is fun to spot our National bird! FruitOfTheVine: I really like that shot of the Brown Thrasher at the top of that conifer and the blue sky as backdrop! Now, that's what I call a good picture, not awful. Lovely shot. I wonder why I never notice the Thrasher's singing? Maybe I should be more observant. I see the Cardinal's and Mockingbirds singing all the time and just recently (for the first time) have captured pic's of the Red-winged Blackbird singing. |
