I set my peafowl eggs under Phoenix hens and have found many a snake. I am not afraid of them but it does give you the willies when you first stick you hand in and find something extra. I live around lots of dairies and just take them to some of my neighbors barns where they will do some good. They usually run in pairs, so after I find one I am on the lookout. I have only killed one, I had no choice. He had swallowed three peafowl eggs and they were all very special to me. The were mostly Java blood which is quiet rare. I retrieved the eggs and they all hatched. The snake in the picture had swallowed several eggs but they were not fertile so he got to take a trip to one of the dairies. You can see the bulge, just above the flashlight. |
