Bird Identification: CLOSED: Palm Warbler?, 0 by sunfarm

This little bird was near (but not participating in the finch frenzy at) my seed feeders this morning. Sorry the pictures aren't great, but are the best I could get. It is about 5" long, with gray to brown back and head, buff breast, and a distinct yellow collar extending to the sides of its neck. White wingbars are prominent, as was V-shaped tail. I saw no eye stripe or rings that could suggest it is a vireo.

It seems a bit early for spring warblers in central Kentucky, but that is my best guess. Help with identification would be appreciated.
