I'm happy waking up to the sight of birds busy at the feeder. Sipping coffee and enjoying today's thread. Red the American wigeon and Ringed-necked ducks are very interesting.

JH I too must have seen the American Kestrel here as well; I told DH they must be A.K. since they're tad smaller than most raptors, and perhap some bigger than a Robin -- so I gues-imate.

Pelle, the Osprey's hormone must be out of balance, lol. But like the writter has stated; "we can expect the unexpected." lol.

Linth, TT heading off with a whole peanut!!! I just adore those TT, and just as I thought why none has came to find the peanuts I set out yesterday. Just then I spotted this TT on a branch working at one (whole peanut) likes one of the woodpeckers. And, also Iris. My 'Percy' squirrel hasn't discovered the peanuts on a flat-form feeder after 24hours, he isn't that industrious after all. lol

Magaret, your N.H.'s Honeyeater and its whiskers. Make him/her looks like a wiseman compared to other innocient looking birds such as Goldfinches.

I snapped many pictures, but only this one has decent lighting. A cute-as a button Goldfinch.

Rose "spring is in the air Cardinal pair" Whooo hoooo, our temp. down here is getting to the mid 50F. today!
