The plants live outside during the warm seasons and suffer indoors in the winter. Getting outside for a day was good for me and the plants. It's now a cold, windy 21 degrees here. Holly and Ladygardener, I've had visions of a salad in my head for way too long now. It makes me grumpy just buying lettuce from a grocery. I had hopes of lettuce to eat during the winter. But without a heated greenhouse, I guess that won't be happening here.

Possibly, next winter, we'll rig up some heat and try again. The garden boxes will be great for getting a jump on growing this spring though.
