And this is the underside. I've chipped into the rock 2 1/2" so far. The rock (stem) it will sit on is about 4x5" and comes to a point at one edge. That is the reason i have created the triangle like hole in the bottom. I am having trouble getting the cap to sit flat because of the angle's involved - so the plan is to chip out the whole 4 - 5 area i have marked up and flatten the "stem" this spring. Will hopefully have a nice stone mushroom when done.
