Wha, yours could be a Rosenbachianum or aflatunense Purple Sensation. But only a guess.

PollyK, I like that Midnight Blue's form. Don't have it either nor do I have a Cornus alternifolia Golden Shadows for which I had to scurry off and see what it was.
