I have a huge Schefflera tree just outside of the screened Lanai and it won't bother me a bit if that one doesn't make it ... I could kick myself for ever planting it so close to the pool area because that massive root system made huge cracks in the pool deck. We had the pool and deck area resurfaced a year ago so I'd like to not see huge cracks again from that tree! The real sad part (in my opinion) is we humans have had a hand in causing so many problems with nature and now we are paying for it with all these unusual weather conditions around the planet. I have my unheated Florida room (enclosed porch) crammed full of plants to hopefully protect them somewhat from the cold temp's. |
