I have Adeline in several places and she always does just fine. She is in dense shade, dappled shade and full sun and always looks good. I wished she would bloom more but she seems to think she must become huge before she blooms. I always cut her to the ground just before first frost and root the biggest one. Then I plant that in the ground and then I do not have to wait that long before the first blooms. This Spring I gave it to a friend down the road and he planted it in full sun. Then this Fall he built a mini greenhouse over it much like bettydee has done. She is blooming her little heart out, with most blooms being triples. The trunk is already as big as my arm, I can't wait to see how big she can get by next Fall. |
