Beginner Gardening: Seed Labels and Packets w/pictures, 0 by Happenstance

I use a P-Touch label maker to make labels for metal plant markers and found that the image is too small to be of any benefit. Sometimes just fitting the name on a label can be challenging.

What size/kind of labels are you using? Depending on the type of label you want an image might work. If it is for decorative purposes the seed packet could be modified to make a large stand-up label for gift giving.

As far as the instructions on the seed packet, that's part and parcel of making the packets. I chose not to put formal instructions on the packets, because growing conditions are so different from zone to zone. Most places Datura tatula for example is an annual, but here in 9b I still have seed pods ripening on a growing plant.

Here's an example of a single packet with instructions, this image would then be rotated & reproduced 3 times to fit on a standard piece of paper or rotated & reproduced 3 times, then saved as a different image which saves space on the page. These packets can be made smaller or larger within reason without losing clarity using this same image as desired.
