I was not funny, laughing or giggling tonight, so I wasn't going to inflict my formerly grumpy self onto this thread ;) but that picture stopped me in my tracks. :) And I realized that this would be a good place to ask about a rose I'd like to find. My great-grandmother planted it next to the porch in the house I was later to grow up in, so it's an old variety that I'm looking for. It was huge, but the pink flowers were miniature and the fragrance was lovely. The flowers had that perfect "rose" shape if that makes any sense to you. The flowers were not the single wild rose type - they looked like tea roses, individually - double or triple or whatever they're called. The flowers came out in big clusters and they'd bloom a beautiful baby pink and fade to a much lighter pink. Any roses like that, that any of you know of? Here's a silly picture I like - apropos of... er... nothing! ;) |
