Texas Gardening: What to plant ...wedding a month away, 0 by Mibus2

Hey all y'all

Here's my dilemma...the wedding is just a lil over a month away now ..Sept 5th
I have areas that are rather barren in the landscape along the driveway and I moved 2 "bushes" to proper places as they will be way to big to leave in the front flower bed ( Spiraea and primrose jasmine)
DH is having a fit now as it has left "spaces" in front and he says " a month is not enough time to grow anything"

What do y'all suggest ???
