Here is a shot of the whole front of my house showing it's new location.
You can also see my exhausting efforts to cut back all the shrubs in front of my house. The ones on the left are now done. The ones on the right still need to be done. I did the Hemlock on the right this morning. Took me about 2 hours--as I had to climb up and down ladders to get to the top. I ended up sawing off the top completely to lower the height of it. All while teetering on my Gorilla ladder resting on the edge of the roof above my front door...Yikes!!!!!

I was totally drenched and exhausted with all the clean-up and putting things away. Getting too old to do all this kind of work--but it HAS to be done!!!!

edited to say that the 2 Junipers on the right came with the house---40 years ago! I have kept them "presentable" by hand-pruning back the overwhelming growth at least every 2 years. Hand pruning means cutting each long growth off individually. When I get done--the shrub still looks nice and natural...and wispy.....
