NYRita, (blush) Thank you! I'll have to give a lot of credit to Mother Nature, all the Nicotiana's are volunteers from last year. I've discovered that they do a good job of camouflaging tall lily stems when they're done blooming, but they're a bit out of control. I guess the whole bed is, really. It was new last year so I've been playing around with lots of things trying to decide what I like best. I sometimes let things grow where they will just to see what they'll do-add some spontaneity, I guess. Here's a shot of more of the whole bed from about a week ago before the lilies started opening. I've also got Ortega and Scheherazade lilies in there, along with the volunteer poppies, echinaceas, the salvia, scabiosa, and knautia and some fluffy daisies.

ge1836, I keep hearing how great Picasa is. I really will have to check it out. Thanks for letting me know what you're using.

As far as my furry imposter, can you believe that someone abandoned him? We took him in as a neutered stray last fall. But, he's angry with me today as I dared to try and remove all the bedstraw weed seeds from his fur-the nerve! He was actually lumpy from them-grrr. Don't know where he found a patch that big, but I asked him not to go there again. I told him if he'd bring home seeds of something I wanted to grow I wouldn't be quite so insistent, lol.

Like that Canada noid, and pirl's lilies, too. So many lilies, so little space...sigh
