The Knock-out Roses I got in a co-op last year. They were teeny starts which I really didn't think would make it because they were so small. But they went wild in the pots which I filled with compost, good potting soil, and peat! I have pruned them back twice over the year that I've had them. I kid you not ... they were maybe 4" tall when I got them and tiny! Some of the co-ops I've done have been low, low prices, but the plants I got were so small I couldn't believe it. The clematis co-op had teeny, tiny vine starts too. They call them "liners"! HA! I guess they barely line/fill a tiny plastic pot. But both co-ops were such a surprise as the plants were very healthy and fast growing! I think I just got lucky! But then again, I joined a huge Mum co-op too last year and got itty bitty plants too and they are all over my yard (I got a bunch extra) and planted them everywhere! They got big fast and bloom year round for me! So I guess I either picked the right co-ops or did the right thing when transplanting them in my yard! LOL!

I got two blooms on the NOID vine today. The purple coloring on these blooms is really pretty! I like Darren's name for them ... swirlberry! :-) Maybe I should call this vine "Shibori Swirlberry". What do y'all think?
