When our storm was over we took a drive in the country and you could see a rainbow at one end of the horizon and a pile of hail where the storm had ended and as it laid in the fields between rows of corn. Truly a nasty, but awesome sight of nature. We had some devastation. I had over 5000 mum plants I had started and it was opening day of my greenhouse at the old farm and wham. What a mess! I had fractured mums and mum pots everywhere! Had to close the next day! Here is a bloom I cannot get enough of and that is coreopsis. It makes a stunning show and is one that I would love to see scores of out on our prairie. The finches and orieles love it! |
