Unfortunately the beautiful variegated Redbud (Cercis 'Silver Cloud') in front of the Cornus finally lost its battle over the winter :( Creating a bit of a problem for some of the plants that like it more shady but at least now you can actually see the Cornus when it's blooming! Plus the poor Stewartia (which Rick has threatened to remove) might now stand a fighting chance. Planted over 5 years ago, it just hasn't done well - maybe now that it doesn't have to compete with the Redbud it will be happier :)
