Looks like that clem 'bud' I started the thread with is really the start of the seed head. I thought so when I snapped it, but since I had not seen any blooms, I thought it was just a weird one. Don't know how I missed it!

Here is that other funky one - finally opened. Don't have a positive ID on this one yet.
