Happenstance wrote: My greenhouse plants tell me, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" every day. Earlier this summer my husband installed a misting system in the greenhouse connected to a humidistat. Because it gets so hot here (85-110F) my glass greenhouse tends to really heat up although it is in full shade all afternoon. The purpose was to cool the temps down, not water the plants and it sure does a good job of it. The emiters are aimed on the walkway down the center of the greenhouse, but could easily be positioned to water all the plants if needed. Drops the temp a full 20degrees from what it would be without it. The greenhouse is full of succulents and some other exotic plants. Everything is noticeably happier and some many things blooming at one time, it is hard to keep up with them. The kit came from Charlie's Greenhouse as did the structure itself. I made do without the misters last year and just got lucky because we had a cooler than normal summer. With this year's high temps, it was well worth the investment. The kit does not contain the basic 1/2" PVC or connectors/elbows you might need for your application, but contains everything else. Once the water supply and electric supply is in, just install the misters and plug it in. Such a great way to cool off on a hot day too, just stand them and get a light dusting of mist.....aaahhhhhh.
