Rarejem wrote: Irwells, I love your frog! Nice azaleas too! I could easily believe that your stunning garden was somewhere around here from looking at the pictures. Never imagined Texas as an azalea garden type of place...that's one of the funnest things about DG is the broadening of experiences/knowledge through the gardens of others! Glad to have you with us! Nice pics Mom (PNWMountaingirl)...except for the LOVELY one of Lynn and I....grumble....that's why I don't have any pics of me in the garden! You will have to get a close up of Blaney's Blue today if the weather permits! Beahive, What a beautiful young woman your daughter is! Love the prom pics...looks like she is having a great time! I agree with Kathy, I don't remember ANY of the guys being creative when it came to asking girls to prom. She is a lucky gal to have been asked by someone who cared enough to make it that special! I am also in awe of your centerpiece boquet! Bet you don't cut your blooms like that often, but I imagine it gave you a lot of pride to be able to come up with something that stunning from your own garden! I really did like the peristrokya as well! I can't imagine digging your tulips each year, but then again if it allowed you to enjoy a flower that you loved and normally wouldn't get to, it would be worth it. I guess I drag some horribly heavy tropicals into the greenhouse every year, and it's kind of along the same lines! Mauryhillfarm, Your son looks very "professional" all dressed up! What kind of musical even was it? What a loving and tolerant mom to have said yes when her son said that he wanted to learn to play the drums! I can't imagine an instrument that a parent cringes more at, but when you watch a good drummer play it is unbelieveable. Redchic, I am still LOL at the bourbon rose smell! I am fairly certain I lost my evergreen spring clematis this year (broke off at the base with the snow I am thinking), so am definitely going to replace it. One that smells like chocolate sounds heavenly! Will have to look into that one! I really like your pics, especially the black and white of the blooming trees! What a beautiful way to capture that! I also really like azalea pics, especially the purple one! I am sure glad that those of you who had kids attending prom yesterday got a little bit of sunshine! We got a teeny window, but rained most of the day. Made it hard to get the mandatory stuff like lawn mowing and rose spraying done! I did get to see my deck tulips ALMOST open for a few mintues. |
