The CXD 179 is described as, "a standard for mid-season production with high solids, medium viscosity, and very good color. Yields are consistently outstanding and the fruit is firm. The medium size plant covers well. "

Apparently this is an excellent paste tomato...but both the Campbell's and FFA responses include that it is good eaten fresh as well.
