Butterfly activity out here has been slow. Not much in abundance but I have seen a couple of Monarchs, Gulf Frits, GST, Mournful Duskywings, Mallowscrubs and one lone Texan Crescent.

We've got our annual Butterfly Club meeting next Saturday - am planning on attending that one as I haven't gone to the last four meetings due to being out of town for work. Do hope the butterfly activity at the NABA park is better than my house! Oh and they have changed the name to National Butterfly Center - the plans to add buildings and more landscaping is somewhat halted due to lack of funds. We're all hoping the economy gets better so our backers will continue to contribute again.

Here's the lone little Texan Crescent that hung around my yard all afternoon.
