It looks like there's the smallar variety (like traditional "monkey grass" in my mind), and a larger variety that would make a good stand-alone ornamental grass w/ purple flower spikes. Which type do you have? (Or am I off base in my observation?) My big project this year is filling up this lasagna bed I started last fall. Here's what it looked like afterI got all my layers in. I'm hoping it's ready dig through and plant in by the end of March. I was thinking I could put a few clumps of the Liarope thoughout the bed (if it was the larger type), along with daylilies and ??? Or if the liarope is the smaller clumps more often used for border plants, I could maybe put it somewhere else. On a different note...any ideas you guys have on how best to fill this bed are welcome! |
