She also would hide under a particular dining room chair and scrape her body back and forth under one certain piece of wood and whine the whole time she did it. I got results practically overnight. I also use 1/2 of one 1.34mg Clemastine antihistamite, which you can get at any pharmacy counter. It is a generic allergy OTC pill, although not widely know. My vet gave it to me as a prescription, and charged me for 14 pills. I thought it was a prescription drug until my pharmicist friend told me it wasn't. Anyways, I went to the pharmacy and got the bottle of 100 Clemastine, break them in half. per Dr.s orders. She gets 1/2 Clemastine and 1 fish oil capsule together in a Greenies pill pocket every morning. She has not scratched since. I will tell you however, as you realize, the fish gels are large and rather hard to get into a dog. I will recommend to you the best thing since sliced bread, although a little pricey. Go to Petsmart or Petco and look for a pouch of Greenies Pill Pockets. They are not with Greenies biscuits, they are on the "medicine" isle, with the dog aspirin, vitamins and such. They are about $6.00 for the pack of 30 tablet sized and a coupla bucks more for the large capsule sized which are needed for the big fish oil capsules. They are wonderfully moist and meaty little pockets that you shove the pill into, pinch it closed and the dog scarves it all up and swallows it whole. My dog comes running when she sees me with the pill bottle alone even, without the treat yet.. It is her favorite time of day when I used to have to hold her down and shove down her throat.
