Longwood, Huntington, Norfolk, Fairchild, Franklin Park Conservatory, New York Botanic, Brooklyn, Queens, Sonnenberg, Jardin Botanique in Montreal, Duke, Tower Hill, Arnold Arboretum, Crosby Arboretum, Bellingrath, the National Botanic garden and arboretum, the list goes on. I collect teapots, I play the violin, still a beginner though, and the piano. I do cross stitching and I read. Real Books, though I am experimenting with books on the computer. I love book stores, old and new, I love to shop at all the book sites on line. I volunteer at our local library which is having a budget crisis so i go twice a week and do worker bee chores, including caring for their 7 plants. In the summer, I like to go to yard sales. This is all time permitting, of course. The botanic gardens are usually combined with vacations and I have seen my share of aviation museums too, as this is my big spousal compromise. He looks at plants while I look at airplanes. I like History Detectives, What not to wear, Paula Deen's cooking shows {Give me that butter!!} and the Ace of Cakes. I also watch various Mystery and Masterpiece theater programs as they amuse me. I raised two children amongst all of this! A pic from the NYBG two summers ago. Martha |
