Beginner Gardening: Friends we've made by garden chatter, 0 by pirl

Sometimes it's fun to look at the friendships we've made just through talking about gardening with total strangers. So many neighbors are so busy traveling or playing card games or one who watches old Westerns on TV each day that, once they see we're gardeners, will not only first ask how the garden is but actually try to grow some plants.

My DH, Jack, grows many plants from seeds but his tomatoes are his big joy. He shares them with my daughter, the guys who service our cars as well as neighbors. One neighbor told Jack, after growing two tomato plants one summer, that he just can't keep up with them any longer. We both got a good laugh out of that.

Back on the first garden tour I met my dear friend, Lynn, and through so much hard work she created her own beautiful gardens, which I prefer to my own.
