I get my peanuts from my local Wild Bird Center. They are un-roasted.
You know how the squirrels bury stuff? I've been surprised in the Spring with Peanut Plants! The 1st time this happened (in 2007) I actually had a peanut harvest. A grand total of 14 peanuts! LOL!
It was so cool!
This year, I only harvested 2. It's a nice plant - with pretty yellow flowers.

The cardinals use my platform feeder a lot.
Usually one will be on the platform while its mate keeps watch from a tree. Then they'll switch places.
Every once in a while one will be on the platform while its mate is on the ground below. The one above will drop seeds over the side.
It's so cute.
