I am not sure where best to post this, but will try here. I have been rooting several rose cuttings in a bubbler which I have pictured above in this post. Algae was starting to build up on the cuttings and a few days ago I changed the water and rinsed the algae off with a strong spray of water. I put them back in the water along with a bunch of cut up pieces of willow branches and some H202. Today the cuttings all have a very gooey clear substance on the ends of the cuttings where the nubs are starting to form. I will include a picture of the picture of the mature nubs here and a picture of what they look like with this new substance. I have no idea what is going on, but don't want to loose these cuttings. I don't know if the gooey stuff is a good thing or a bad thing. Can someone tell me what to do? This is a picture before.
