We got some unusual varieties from the Seed Savers Exchange in Decorah, Iowa. I love that place! Don't feel bad - even if every single one of you had told me to go to the ER, I probably would not have done so unless I felt it was necessary. I am a tough old bird and I just don't like going to the hospital for things that I think are going to be OK. I have been to the ER twice. Once when I folded my foot in half, and once when I was play wrestling an ex-boyfriend and got his elbow in my nose. It bled so bad I thought it was broken. We had a little snow yesterday but it melted today. We do an awful lot of stuff here. We don't have bunnies now but I use my old bunny hutch for the 3 to 6 week old chicks because it keeps them separate from the really tiny chicks. Then at 6 weeks they go into the brooder in the barn. At 10 weeks, they come out to the main coop with the heat lamp. Here I am today with a couple of chickens. Right as rain! |
