Mrs_Pach wrote: Please Help! My Roo "Brian" was recently attacked by a Dog! However I dd learn that Chickens 'play dead' to Shoo off Predators (cool!). Anyway, so Brian was attacked and playing dead when my Husband found him and brought him into the garage....Bleeding Profusely from his back side, comb, waddle, and the back of his neck! Oh my! There is so much blood that I can barely tell where the Injuries originate from! I took some Neosporin and was rather generous with it, and then clumped large amounts of vasaline to the areas to help stop the bleeding and keep him from pecking at the areas or being attacked again. We kept him in the garage overnight, and the bleeding WONT STOP! He seems to be eating and drinking alright. Plus, his back side now looks worse, AND I found a strange lump on his Right side Spur (shown in the posted image)! So... (1) Bleeding profusely from tips of comb, waddles, back side, and back of neck where feathers were ripped out. (2) Tumor like looking bloody lump on Right side Spur (3) Poo is bright white, very runny, looks almost like a glob of spit (not to be gross...but Ive never seen anything like it!) Does anyone know any other way to get the bleeding to stop?! We dont have any $$$ really and only have what is on hand here on the farm! And cannot afford a Vet visit unless it is life or death. Please Help! |
