I have bought a kind of fabric called solar weave, which is like a woven, waterproof cloth, that I will put up when we get our storm season, as it gets quite wet and humid here toward the end of summer, and things always rot! I flush the water in the vases, usually every 2 days, to keep the mossies from breeding, and I use tank water for that, so It won't hurt to exclude the rain for awhile.
It didn't tkae long to run out of room though!
