Yes it is a good time to plant larkspur. On Monday I planted some of the orange California poppies and some of the tall pink peony poppies and a few are up. I like to scatter my seeds when there is a good chance of rain but rain has been scarce recently. After the first year they plant themselves at the proper time. I haven't grown larkspur in a couple of years. I had a mix of colors and they were gorgeous, but after a three years they were all the same color. Here is a picture of an interesting one that was in the mix. The neighbor kids called them bunnyheads.
