I've just spent a few minutes on the phone to Rose (135 minutes to be precise). She still doesn't have her computer but her frustration levels have increased to the point where she's about to buy a new one. She sends her best wishes to everyone, is in serious DG withdrawals and has 3,000 pics to post. She'll probably need her own internet site.

She's asked me to let you know of just some of the birds she's been seeing, in addition to her Cardinals, Hummingbirds and Bluebirds. (Ho hum).

She's seen an Americal Kestrel and was blown away by its beautiful colouration. She has seen a Yellow Billed Cuckoo FOUR TIMES. She has also seen CEDAR WAXWINGS and a Bobwhite quail. Oh, and the Goldfinches are changing colour.

She was having a good chuckle that she only had to ring Australia to get this information to y'all. I told her I'd be adding the "u" to color.

My contribution is of one of my favourites, a Red Wattlebird. These birds are equally at home upside down, but then I guess they are Australian.
