I definitely agree that, for the most part, things should usually be covered under the warranty. For me, It's always been a good plan since through the course of a day out somewhere with me.... the camera will have had one heck of a (usually rough) ride to wherever and back, and then probably accidentally hit or dropped a few times, and probably rained on at least half of those trips. So, off to the repair shop goes. If I weren't clutsy and I didn't take things over hill and dale I'm sure that the warranty would serve me just fine! Cell phone companies loved me because I would managae to break a phonee every 6 months or so....but then I started getting service plans. Now they don't look forward to seeing me so much!
