Then I heard noises as if sands were dropping onto dried magnolia leaves on the ground below, as it turned out there were frass dropping from these strange looking caterpillars, never have I seen before in the garden. I looked up, and found an army of these dark looking fellas munching away on Eastern Redbud's leaves. Please help I.D.
