Anyway, my beans are in a raised bed, and laying on one of the wooden edges was a Checkered Skipper. I hadn't seen one in a while, and then I noticed this one was really still. I think he was a butterfly senior citizen as he couldn't fly very well and he seemed happy to hang out on my finger - and a healthy butterfly does not want to play with people!
