WNYwillieB wrote: Thanks DonnieBrook! Yes, Victor, BigBlue is (I am guessing now) a Koi type know as a Pearle Shusui in the Asagi category ... ?? I am hoping he will stay blue and not turn white (or she, I really don't know) The rest you see in that picture are common "feeder" goldfish I used to season the pond. I don't have any trouble with Heron, yet, as this is the first summer with them, and they are quite minute (4-6 inches at best). They don't get spotted just yet, but, when they get 3 foot and 45 pounds, we'll see. Don't they look freaky, Hemhostaholic, when they get that huge??!?? Here is a shot of (3) of the (6) koi and some of their goldfish pondmates Big Blue; The white one with the orange head; and you can barely see the tail of a yellow one sticking up from under the rock at the bottom of the picture. Koi missing are an Olive GinRin and another two orange ones. Everyone is under 6 inches. This message was edited Jul 28, 2008 8:51 PM |
